Positive Learning Environment

How many times have you had a class that you absolutely dreaded going to? The sad thing is this happens more often than finding a class that you truly get excited for. Now there are several factors that could play into a students feelings about a class, such as interest, relatability, and environment. Environments can have a huge affect on how students view a teacher, class, or even a subject. As teachers there are ceratin things we can do to help create a positive learning environment that students can feel comfortable and succeed in. The first step to a positive envirnonment is taking the time to build a relationnship with students. When we communicate with students they feel a comfort that allows them to relax and trust the teacher. If we can build a students trust this will help give the confidence to ask questions, answer questions, or engage in class discussion. Learning from Others

After a few weeks of blogs it is very interesting to go back in and take a look at some of my piers post. Not only is it new subjects and concepts that I had never thought of but it also different point of views on topics I had heard of. I was very beneficial to have this opportunity to learn from others and I think that is a skill that I will find very beneficial as a young teacher one I reach a classroom. The first peer that really caught my attention was Reese Taylor's blog on classroom size and how it can truly affect the students in the class. This is a concept that when I read her title I couldn't believe I hadn't thought of it. As I continued to read Reese's article it only made even more sense than before how a larger classroom can have a negative effect on the students ability to focus due to the larger opportunity for distraction. Where is Education going?

How Covid-19 changed American education ,over the last 4 years we have seen some of the biggest shifts in education that we have ever seen before. With the panademic of COVID-19 our schools,work places, and country as a whole had to change the way we approached everyday. Anywhere you look you can see a change that was made that directly goes back to the effects of COVID-19. Perhaps no bigger shift than the one that came in education. Which leads me to ask the question, what is the future of education? As a student that was through my highschool education before covid hit much of my education never changed. There was a comfort in knowing the process and typical layout of the traditional classrooom. As far as tehnology goes the biggest change I can think of is when promethean boards got added into all the classrooms. Realistically this wasn't a dramatic change from the typical white board with a projector and was very beneficial with new opportunities for teachers. Post covid h
